Services for Families with Developmentally Disabled Individuals and their Families
Families United For Equity (FUFE) is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization dedicated to ensuring equitable access to Regional Center resources and services for all families, with children who have developmental disabilities. Parent/Family California based support and advocacy group. We support families and advocates of children/adults with any kind of disability as they face challenges with equity in Regional Center services.
In 2023, FUFE was awarded the Betty Hamilton Outstanding Advocacy Award by the Alameda County Developmental Disabilities Council.
Our mission is to support, educate, and advocate for vulnerable and underrepresented families and the service providers who serve them. We want our families and advocates to have knowledge, resources, information, and support to make informed choices that enhance your loved ones quality of life and well-being.
We promote partnerships with families, professionals, and the community at large, because through partnership, we create a community where out loved ones can flourish and thrive.
Our group is composed of families, service providers, and advocates from all 21 Regional Centers in California. Our goal is to challenge inequities in services for underrepresented families and ensure that our members are informed and receiving all services they qualify for and are entitled to per the Lanterman Act.
